First Published Mar 18, 2024 as a newsletter for Grateful4 publication on Medium.
Once upon a time, there was an anxious mother, who didn’t know what to do!
She looked for answers from the universe, or god, or whoever you believe helps in trying times. She came across a daily journal page that suggested that reflection and gratitude could help with those powerful emotions of loss, worry, & anxiety.
That’s how it starts. It doesn’t end until it ends.
Every day, in between the sunrise and sunset, we get to CHOOSE how we feel about what is going on around us. — LaLa
It only lasts for the moment that is currently involved.
This moment is planting season, we plant the idea for the feelings that flow next. We can plant a flower of gratefulness, or the untamed wildly germinated seed of bitterness.
I choose GRATITUDE.
We’ve had so many submissions for #Grateful4. It was pure joy for me, a distraction from the reality we are facing at home. Each article full of another facet of how gratitude and practicing gratefulness has moved someone to a better place, mentally and emotionally.
It’s time to go back to some of the first authors who took the chance on a fledgling publication.
One of the first adopters of G4 was a brave author with a genuine gratitude practice, he’d been using for a good while. Mark Casey
Way back when Grateful4 was a seed of a blog, Vinia Majaba was a constant reader, commenter, fully active in supporting the new authors of G4. When she responded to become an author, I JUMPED with joy to have her as an author. Here is her inaugural article, and I was blown away. Short and Sweet with FULL impact. Loved it!
And a surprise appearance from a well-known author here on Medium. Nikola Maharajh is much farther along than many of the writers here on Medium, with a boost of love from her. What a great blessing for Nikola to share his gratitude with G4.
Those are my picks from Grateful4 authors for the second half of March. Hopefully we can get into a rhythm, to have these updates more often.
Thank you to all the followers. We have reached the auspicious milestone of our first 100 followers. So much appreciated to all the wonderful readers that bless our humble publication. It goes without saying, but better said, We are Grateful for YOU!
YOU can join us, even as a brand new writer, because everyone has something to be grateful for. Sharing your gratitude practice is a blessing for everyone. #GratitudeInPublic
